• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the high quality and performance of OTT applications across various streaming devices.
• Key Responsibilities: Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts for Smart TV and Roku applications.
• Test Strategy & Execution: Develop test plans, test cases, and execute automated and manual tests to ensure high-quality releases.
• Device Testing: Perform functional, UI/UX, regression, performance, and compatibility testing on multiple OTT devices.
• CI/CD Integration: Implement automation in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects in Jira or similar bug-tracking tools, collaborating with development teams for resolution.
• Cross-Platform Testing: Ensure seamless streaming experience across various Smart TV platforms, including Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, and Apple TV.
• API Testing: Validate backend API responses and integrations using Postman or REST Assured.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure quality releases.
• Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of QA experience , with at least 3+ years in OTT platform testing (Smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc.

• Strong experience in test automation using frameworks like Appium, WebDriverIO, or Detox for OTT applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java for test script development.
• Hands-on experience with Roku BrightScript automation (UIAutomator, Roku WebDriver, or SceneGraph testing tools).
• Experience integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.

• Solid understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), DRM technologies, and playback testing .
• Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, TestRail .
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred Skills: Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools like Charles Proxy, Wireshark, or Kibana.
• Familiarity with OTT analytics and tracking implementations (Conviva, Google Analytics).
• Experience in accessibility testing for Smart TV applications.
